Setting up with a fresh version of Joomla
Setting up the Powerplay template in a fresh installation of Joomla is reasonably straight forward. This document assumes that you have already setup Joomla and you have also included the default Joomla sample data.
Elements to install.
- Essential elements Install the Zen Grid Framework
- Install the Powerplay template and set it to default
- Install the JB LIbrary plugin and enable it in the extensions > plugin manager
Optional Elements
- Install JB Slideshow
- Install Microblog
- Install the JB BB Code plugin (For two line menus)
- Install K2
Elements to unpublish
- Unpublish all modules in the right column (Optional - right column is not available in this template)
- Unpublish all modules in the left module position except for the main menu module
- Disable the module title in the breadcrumb module
Elements to publish
Publish the search module to the top1 position and do not enable the search button. Also ensure the search module title is unpublished.
Publish the login module to the panel1 position.
At this stage you should have a pretty simple and straight forward site to start creating your site from. For a detailed anlalysis of how to setup the slideshow and microblog modules on the demo site please refer to the main Joomla Bamboo documentation for the Powerplay template. The screenshot below shows you the default Joomla installation after following the points above.

100 Jahre SPD
1910: Gründung der SPD in Neuenrade. Die Sozialdemokratische Partei Deutschlands ist eine Partei mit langer Geschichte und guten Traditionen auch in Neuenrade. Schon seit 1910 wirken hier Männer und Frauen der SPD für Demokratie und sozialen Fortschritt.
Handwerksgesellen, die auf ihrer Wanderung durch Deutschland in Neuenrade ansässig geworden waren,gründeten 1910 die SPD Neuenrade. Dies waren Zimmermann Fritz Beys, Schreiner Fritz Korte, Zimmermann Wilhelm Berg und der Bäcker Wilhelm Klüppelberg. Die Partei zählte bei Ausbruch des 1. Weltkieges im Jahre 1914 schon 17 Mitglieder. Das war beachtlich, wenn man bedenkt, dass die Stadt Neuenrade zu der damaligen Zeit knapp 2.000 Einwohner zählte. 1920 zog Fritz Beys mit 4 weiteren Sozialdemokraten in das Stadtparlament ein. Zu dieser Zeit wusste er bereits eine gut organisierte Partei hinter sich. 1924 wurde mit Wilhelm Becker (Platten Wilhelm) erstmals ein SPD Politiker Gemeindevorsteher.Unter seiner Leitung wurde 1928 erstmalig eine Abwasserkanalisation verlegt. Auch verschwand das alte Kopfsteinpfl aster auf der Ersten Straße und es wurde ein richtiger Bürgersteig angelegt. Wilhelm Becker erhielt dafür von den Bürgern den Spitznamen Platten Wilhelm .
